Kalvin Alrez

Walnut Valley Educational Foundation Winner - Ron Hockwalt Memorial Scholarship

Ron Hockwalt was the former Superintendent at Walnut Valley Unified School District and was known for his passionate dedication to students and their education. Kalvin shares that passion. While tutoring his peers through the California Scholarship Federation club he helps students by explaining multiple ways to solve problems which gives the students the ability to solve the problems using different approaches. In turn, he says, the benefit is that it has widened his own perspectives on problem solving.

Marc Natividad, Kalvin’s GLC says, “Kalvin is kind, hardworking, perceptive and optimistic. These strengths help him to be a very well rounded individual.”
