Raider Band: Football Games

The 7/8th Grade Raider Band students played during the 7th grade Football Games on Tuesday, September 24th at Highlander Stadium! We'll be performing at the 8th grade football games this Tuesday!

Some of our Raider Band students acted as "Band Aides" for our HPHS band students! These students volunteered to help the Highlander Band at two of the home football games! They refilled water bottles, moved show props, and even helped move electronics- then they got to play in the stands with the Highlander Band! Lots of fun!

University Park Elementary: 2nd Grade Art

UP 2nd graders studied the life and work of French artist, Henri Rousseau, and his amazing jungle paintings. Students then created their own jungle landscapes using various media such as chalk, paint, and colored pencils. Can you spot the hidden animals in each work?

University Park Elementary: 3rd Grade Art

UP 3rd graders studied contemporary artist Emma Connally and reviewed the many ways artists use LINE in their artworks. After applying and mixing neon paint by scraping it across their papers, students added various line and design patterns to create a colorful abstract work of art.
