Valentine's Day Party Valentine's Day Party

Dear PTA Party Volunteers,

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our incredible PTA volunteers for their outstanding efforts in organizing such imaginative and engaging games and events for our upcoming Valentine's Day party! Your creativity and dedication truly shine, and we eagerly anticipate the joy you will bring to our students.

Please be informed that this year's Valentine's Day volunteer sign-in will commence at 2:20 PM. This time differs from our Winter Party's arrival, as we have made this adjustment to ensure that all teachers and students have sufficient time for lessons and are well-prepared for the festivities ahead.

Thank you once again for your unwavering commitment and hard work. Together, we are creating wonderful memories for our students!

Warm regards,

Mr. Marconi

Career Day Career Day

Dear Kinsner Families,

We are excited to announce our upcoming Career Day on Friday, March 28th, from 1:30 to 3:15 PM, right before Spring Break. We are looking for parent volunteers to present their jobs to our students in an interactive and engaging way. Each presentation will last 15 minutes and will be repeated multiple times for different groups of students in a particular grade level.

*Please note that if you are chosen you may be assigned to present to a classroom or grade other than your child's. This will help us ensure that all presentations are appropriate and engaging for each grade level.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the attached survey HERE. We will review all submissions and select presentations that are most appropriate for each grade level within the amount of presenters we are able to accommodate. This will be due by Monday, January 27th. The committee will confirm if you're selected in February via email.

We appreciate your support and look forward to a fun and educational event!

Kinsner Operations Leadership Team

Arrival and Dismissal Arrival and Dismissal

Dear Kinsner Elementary Families,

As we navigate the snowy weather, I want to extend my gratitude for your continued patience and support during our arrival and drop-off times. I understand that the snowy conditions can often lead us adults to seek convenient options, but your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we strive to ensure a safe environment for our students.

I want to remind families about our park and walk option in the large parking lot. This option allows parents to park in the larger lot and walk up to the front doors to meet their students. Utilizing this space not only alleviates congestion from the line but also promotes a safe experience for students walking out to larger parking lot.

Regardless of whether your child is designated as a walker or car rider, if you're using the car line, students must wait near the main entrance for their vehicle to pull around. This practice will help facilitate safer entry and exit from our facility. There are safety concerns when students walk down the sidewalk or enter their vehicles near Waterford. Your understanding and adherence to these guidelines will significantly contribute to the safety of all our students.

Thank you once again for your support.

Click Here to hear Ivan's Story

"Ivan was born with a heart defect and had to have emergency heart surgery the day he was born. He is a 3rd generation heart defect patient, but the first to survive. His aunt died at 4 months old and his great uncle died at age 3. Our family is so thankful for science and the medical advances that made his life-saving surgery possible.

Ivan's condition is called total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return and doctors said it was the luckiest heart defect he could have, as it was one of the “easiest” to fix. We didn’t feel “lucky” at the time, but we certainly do now as we look at our strong, happy, healthy and active 9-year-old boy.

Ivan sees his cardiologist just once a year to make sure his repair is growing well with him. He plays basketball and volleyball to stay active and loves to play with his brother, his twin sister and his friends. He knows how important it is to stay heart-healthy and is proud to help the American Heart Association spread that message!"

PBIS PBIS

Dear Kinsner Families,

Our school is committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. To better understand our school climate and identify areas for improvement, we plan to conduct a School Climate Survey with students in grades three (3), four (4), and five (5).

The survey will gather anonymous feedback on topics such as safety, behavior expectations, engagement, and overall school culture. The data collected from the survey will be used to identify student perceptions of school climate issues within our school. Our school’s PBIS team will review the responses for enhancement and sustainment of positive behavior supports.

If you do not want your child to participate in this survey, please complete and return the form below to the school by Friday, January 31st. If we do not receive this form, we will assume you consent to your child's participation.

If you have any questions, please contact our assistant principal, Mrs. Monica Cooney, at (440) 572-7120 ext. 5974 and/or mcooney@scsmustangs.org.

Thank you for your attention and support,

Mrs. Cooney, Assistant Principal
