George Key School, 2025
"All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."
Quote: Lucy Van Pelt (Peanuts, Charles Schulz)
We have had a busy last few weeks and are looking forward to several up-coming events. First, I want to thank our PSSO for providing the Percussion Dance Performers Assembly for George Key and Venture Academy students. We all loved the fast-paced dancing and music! I would also like to thank our PSSO for providing a "Souper Bowl" Lunch of soup and rolls for our Key and Venture staff on February 6th. This was a wonderful treat on a cold winter day.
We held our Student of the Month Award Assembly on Friday, February 7th. Congratulations to our student and staff recipients for their work and diligence at George Key.
Parents are invited to attend George Key on Friday, February 14th to participate with your student in Valentine-themed activities. The start times are as follows: Ms. Grace's Class: 9:45 AM, Mr. Julio's Class: 10:00 AM, Mr. Bob's Class: 10:15 AM, Ms. Amy's Class: 10:30 AM, Ms. Michele's Class: 10:45 AM and Mr. Nick's Class: 11:00 AM. Each class will rotate through 3 centers for a total of 45 minutes. These activity days are always fun. Thanks to Ms. Grace for her organization of this special day.
February 18th-21st is our Kindness Spirit Week. See below for activities for each day of that week.
Finally, the Venture Choir will be performing at the PAC at El Dorado High School on Thursday, February 20th at 6:00 PM. This is the "Concert of Love" and Ms. Carmen promises that it will be a fun and uplifting evening with our Venture Choir and soloists. All George Key families are invited. Donation of $10.00 is appreciated.
And now...see below to see what we have been doing!
