Principal's Weekly Update
Dear Cambridge Families & Community Members,
We have wrapped up another wonderful week at Cambridge Elementary School! The highlight of our week was coming together on Wednesday evening for the districtwide Lamoille North Welcome Back Community BBQ.
It was fantastic to see many of our CES students, staff, and families connecting with neighbors from across the supervisory union, cheering on the LUHS boys soccer team, and celebrating the start of a bright new school year together.
I’m looking forward to our first 5-day week and excited for all of the fun and learning opportunities ahead!
Wishing all of our Wildcats and their families a relaxing, restful weekend ahead!
Warmly,
Kim Lesny
Principal

Digital Citizenship at CES!
Meet our digital citizenship wildcats! These friendly creatures help teach us to balance our time between real world experiences and devices, remind us to be kind in person and online, and to trust our gut when something doesn’t feel right.
Over the past two weeks we’ve had wonderful discussions with each K-6 classroom around digital citizenship and technology expectations. As we move further into the year we’ll continue to reinforce these expectations when using technology for learning!
Sincerely,
Jeremy LaClair

Feeling the Winter Blues? You’re Not Alone.
Winter can feel heavy - shorter days, colder weather, less time outside, and changes in routine can affect mood and energy. It’s normal to notice shifts in how you’re feeling during this time of year.
Some signs to watch for include:
- Feeling more tired than usual
- Losing interest in things you usually enjoy
- Feeling down, irritable, or disconnected
- Sleeping more (or less) than usual
- Wanting to isolate or withdraw from others
If these feelings last more than a couple of weeks, or start to interfere with school, friendships, or daily life, it’s important to reach out. Talking with a trusted adult, school counselor, coach, or friend can make a real difference.
Small things can help too - staying connected, getting outside when possible, keeping a routine, and doing something kind for yourself or someone else. You don’t have to handle it alone.
