Parent Empowerment Series
The WCFCC is hoping you will join us throughout the year as we host various presenters who will provide information, strategies and ideas to empower you through your parenting struggles. Our Parent Empowerment Series will bring you together with other families who may have the same questions or concerns and find themselves struggling and looking for concrete strategies to assist them in their daily parenting life. We encourage everyone to engage in discussions, share their struggles/triumphs, ideas and strategies that may or may not have worked for them and be open to new ideas and information from our presenters.

STEM "Building A Birdfeeder"
Today's STEM story was Those Darn Squirrels, written by Adam Rubin and read by Braiden Berry. It tells the story of Old Man Fookwire, a lonely, old man who lives alone and loves to bird watch. When the squirrels start stealing the bird seed that he leaves out for the birds, a match of wits ensues between Fookwire and the squirrels.
During this STEM activity the children were paired up with a partner from the Adams Academy to build a birdfeeder that the squirrels could not get to. This STEM project will help to build a love for learning, an eagerness to create and build social skills while working with a partner.
Enchanted Village
Our annual holiday stroll of the famous Enchanted Village brought wonder and delight to our families. The children were in awe of the beautiful displays, twinkling lights and the magic of the falling snow. Our parents' cameras were snapping lots of photos of their children in this magical setting. Some of our friends even rode down a big mountain on colorful inner tubes. It is always a joy to share this magical day with our families
Mindful Movement
Give your child the gift of balance through our Mindful Movements programs. Our yoga programs help children learn poses that increase strength, flexibility and coordination as well as breathing techniques. We offer 2 separate yoga programs, one for children ages birth - 3 yrs and another program for 4 & 5 year old's.
Each week the children learn new poses that represent the characters in our weekly story. All programs end with a Savasana. Savasana is the final resting pose at the end of each yoga program.
