AMCMSPrincipal's OfficeWhat is going on in the Principal's Office?

My Challenge to You My Challenge to You

https://youtu.be/N-x8Ik9G5Dg

Think back to August and when we were all together out at The Greenbranch. We talked about many things in our time together but I want you to think about on one conversation in particular.

I want you to remember that everyone is fighting their own struggles. When I saw the above commercial during the olympics I thought back to that conversation. Everyone is struggling with something in life. We may not ever know they are fighting that struggle. We may not even think of what they are going through as a struggle. We may think we could never survive what they are going through.

We need to remember this as we continue to go through the spring semester. When someone (student or adult) gives a response or reaction that you do not expect remember that they may be struggling with some other issue that is contributing to their reaction. It's okay to ask if everything is okay and if there is anything you can do to support them.

So what does this have to do with a watch? Reminders and Supports. We all need them from time to time. The watch serves as a reminder for everyone in the commercial to be a better version of themselves. The watch reminds people to do things that will lead to a healthier lifestyle. The watch shows consistent support can make a big difference over time.

We all benefit from reminders and support. How can you be that for those around you? How will you let others be that for you?

Think. Achieve. Succeed.

Jeff

Technology Tip of the Week

Would you like your students to be able to propel into outer space or examine inside the human body? Maybe see what it was like to go on a wagon train during the early 1800's? Then check out all that Google Expeditions has to offer.

Google Expeditions enables teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places all over the world. Expeditions are collections of linked virtual reality (VR) content and supporting materials that can be used alongside existing curriculum.

Our campus has Google Cardboard viewers. Just download the Android app for your Android device or from the App Store for your iPhone.

Let me (Stephen) know if you want the Google Cardboard viewer and I will be glad to help you get set up.
