March 2026
A Message from Principal Laughlin
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It has been a long, hard and grueling winter. WIS welcomes March, which symbolizes the beginning of longer and warmer days ahead. As a reminder to all parents that WIS does have a dress code, which can be reviewed by the attached link, WIS 25/26 Parent/Student Handbook. Your cooperation in ensuring that students adhere to the dress code is very important and appreciated. This Sunday, March 8th at 2:00am, we spring forward and move the clock ahead an hour. I, for one, welcome the extra daylight.
A special assembly will be held on March 6th in continuing our kindness matters initiative with a special presentation regarding therapy dogs that provide the necessary support to individuals for their emotional, mental, or physical impairments.
Some additional seasonal highlights for the month that many of our teachers will incorporate into their lesson plans are:
March is recognized as National Reading Month and Women’s History Month
March 13th - Good Samaritan Day
March 14th is PI day.
Our PTO is very busy and you can find out additional information as you scroll through the newsletter, but here are some highlights:
March 19th - Nicolas Creamery Ice Cream Wars - Have a staff member serve you ice cream!
March 26th - Minecraft Movie Night @ WIS from 6pm to 8pm
March 31st - Chipotle Fundraiser
Please join Wall Intermediate School for an evening of laughter, catchy music, and a celebration of friendship. WIS is very proud to present 13! The Musical Jr. on March 13th and March 14th. Get ready for a hilarious and heartfelt coming of age adventure about Evan Goldman, A NY City teen who suddenly finds himself navigating a brand new life in a small Indiana town. Evan must figure out friendships, popularity, first crushes, and what it truly means to grow up.
Your support is very important and greatly appreciated!!
Sincerely,
Mr. Laughlin
