Primary School
September 25, 2026
We have a fun and exciting week ahead at Primary as we celebrate Homecoming next week! There will be plenty of Wildcat spirit throughout the building, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our students!
Homecoming Dress-Up Days:
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Neon and Bright Colors Day
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday
Thursday: Hat Day
Friday: Wildcat Spirit Day - wear green, gold, or your favorite Wildcat gear!
On Tuesday morning, Gridiron and Student Council will be at Primary selling Homecoming goodies, including pom-poms, paw necklaces, beads, buttons, tattoos, and more! Purchasing is completely optional. If your child would like to shop, please send their money in an envelope labeled with their name and what they would like to purchase. Exact change is helpful but not required. Having the money contained and the choices written down will help our adults guide our students through the shopping line. Additional information and prices are listed below.
The excitement continues on Friday, when our students will have a chance to high-five some of our high school Wildcats! Information about the Homecoming game, including expectations and parameters to help make the evening safe and enjoyable for everyone, is also included below.
Finally, we continue to practice our school safety drills with students. These practices help our students and staff know what to do and feel confident with our safety procedures.
It’s going to be a great week of fun and learning! Go Wildcats!
Have a great weekend,
Amy Grice, Principal
Chisago Lakes Primary School
Primary Information
Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund
Over the next several weeks, you may hear more about Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund and a related constitutional amendment that will appear on the November ballot. But what exactly is the Permanent School Fund? The fund has a long history in Minnesota and was established to provide an ongoing source of financial support for public education. Revenue generated from Minnesota’s School Trust Lands and investments helps grow the fund, with earnings distributed to public school districts across the state. As Election Day approaches, we’ll be sharing information to help our community better understand the fund, how it supports Minnesota schools and what the proposed amendment would change.
