Judy Center Early Learning Hub
at Grasonville Elementary School
Happy New Year!! β¨
Let us begin by wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with many successes and continued progress. During winter break, I hope you had the chance to catch up with friends and family and enjoy some rest and relaxation. We certainly spent some time reflecting over the past years and think about the exciting work and opportunities that lie ahead in 2025.
As we begin a fresh start in this new year, we are excited to continue supporting your child's learning journey. We look forward to a year filled with new experiences, academic growth, and meaningful connections. As we continue to strive to be a center focused on educational equity, finding unique and innovative ways to partner throughout the community, support, and create meaningful opportunities. We are focused on ensuring that our local school is a place where all children enjoy learning, playing, and continue to grow each day socially, emotionally, and academically.
As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership. We encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or need support throughout the year.

The winter months can bring weather that is not always fun to venture out in. It is good to stock
your pantries so that you are prepared to cook at home. Having things on hand so that you can
make healthy, tasty meals that will please your families will help to take the stress out of winter
mealtimes.
The first step is to take inventory of what you have on hand. This will help you to determine
what you need to supplement your pantry so that you are ready to feed your family. Some of
the foods to stock up on are:
β’ Dried and canned beans β black beans, garbanzo, lentil, kidney, white beans, pinto etc.
β’ Whole grains β brown rice, quinoa, millet, amaranth, wild rice, oats, pasta etc
β’ Oils β vegetable, olive, canola, sunflower, etc.
β’ Spices and herbs β bay leaves, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, nutmeg etc.
β’ Dried fruit β dates, raisins, cranberries, cherries, etc.
β’ Sugars and other alternative sweeteners
β’ Nuts and seeds (including nut/seed butters) β almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc.
β’ Potatoes and sweet potatoes
