As many know, this is the 9th year The Kade Project has collected and distributed Toys for Tots. Due to COVID-19, this year's needs are great, and collection and distribution campaigns are down. The Kade Project has "adopted" a family of eight (three grandparents, a mother, and four children), from DayStar. A collection box is placed in the Manor School vestibule for new, unwrapped toys. Donations should be placed in a plastic bag before going into the box, and boxes will be monitored and cleaned regularly. The Kade Project is also collecting funds to assist the family by providing new clothing and adaptive toys, as well as hats, mittens, gloves, and face masks. The last day to drop off a toy is Monday, December 7th. Thank you for your generosity.

Are you cleaning out your closets? Our Nurse's Closet is in need of girls' leggings or sweats, size 6/7 to adult small. Boys' athletic pants are also needed in the same sizes. Thank you!

We are very proud to announce that Manor Intermediate School has been recognized as an International Habits of Mind Learning Community of Excellence! Only 23 other schools in the WORLD hold this distinction! Thanks to funding from the HF-L Education Fund, our certificate and plaque arrived this week. We celebrated the honor with a school-wide parade around Manor! Dr. Williams joined the festivities and greeted students from the Cougar golf cart, followed by a special visit from Smarty! Selected students jogged around school in an Olympic-style flag/torch ceremony, while the remaining students spelled out the Habits of Mind with giant letters! We were fortunate to have Mr. White record the entire event with his drone, and hope to share the video with families soon. Some students were required to hold their letter signs upside down, as the drone flew clockwise around school and recorded all the Habits of Mind Words! What a beautiful day to hold this amazing event!

We also want to send a giant THANK YOU to the HF-L community and businesses for providing all of our staff members with Cougar "Stronger Together" T-Shirts!

• Please remember to complete the daily health screen for your child.
• As the weather has gotten drastically colder, please remember to send your child to school with hats, gloves, boots, and clothing which will keep him/her dry and comfortable during outdoor recess.
• Students should come to school with two masks. Masks are getting wet during recess and many students need to change their masks during the day.
