A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
January 9, 2025
Dear PUSD Families,
Welcome back, and happy New Year. It has been wonderful to see our students and staff return to campus. Our first week back has been filled with energy, learning, and the familiar joy that comes with having our schools fully alive again.
Today, the Governor released the proposed state budget for 2026–27. We are reviewing the details and will share more once we have a clearer understanding of what it may mean locally. Keeping our community informed and stewarding our resources responsibly remain important commitments to you and our schools.
I also want to share a few upcoming Board of Education meetings of note. Next week, the Board will hold a governance workshop focused on strengthening effective governance practices in support of our students and district. The Board’s regular business meeting will take place on January 22, followed by a special budget workshop on February 12.
Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. We look forward to a strong and meaningful year ahead.
Sincerely,
Ben
