Shannon Neumann’s grant, “Study History See the World,” will provide two virtual reality headsets so that her students may virtually visit places like ancient Mesopotamia and the Great Pyramids as part of their study of world history. Shannon notes that students in US History courses can sometimes travel to destinations to learn more about American history but that such travel isn't possible for most students.
