National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

HMS will again host a poetry contest. Students must submit an original poem using the Google Form below. Original means that the student has written the poem themselves. Students can submit any style of poem - Haiku, Acrostic, Free Verse, Sonnet, Limerick, Ballad...Submissions are due by April 25 and winners will be announced April 30 on the morning announcements. Winners will have their poem featured in the May library newsletter and earn other prizes.

To be an integral part of the school by providing continuously accessible quality resources, to promote the effective and ethical use of information, and to encourage a lifelong love of reading.
