We will be getting messy and creative in the art room, and that takes a lot of materials! If you are able to donate any art supplies, we would greatly appreciate it and put the supplies to good use. Currently, we are in need of thin cardboard (ex. cereal boxes), clean paper towel and toilet paper tubes, paper and clear plastic egg cartons, yarn, gluesticks, gallon ziploc bags, etc.

Student Device Policy: Cell Phones, Smartwatches, & Bluetooth Devices Student Device Policy: Cell Phones, Smartwatches, & Bluetooth Devices

Student Device Policy

In support of our district’s goal of increasing student focus and reducing distractions, all personal electronic devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and other Bluetooth devices—must be powered off and out of sight throughout the entire school day, including class time, passing time, recess, and lunch.

Keeping personal devices put away allows students to be more engaged, present, and focused on learning. It also helps reduce distractions and the potential negative impact of social media and other digital interactions during the school day.

Device Storage and Responsibility
Students are expected to keep personal electronic devices at home whenever possible. If a student brings a device to school, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that it remains powered off and out of sight for the entire school day.

If a device is used or is not stored according to this policy, it may be secured in the school office, and a parent or guardian may be required to pick it up.

The school is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen personal electronic devices. For this reason, we strongly recommend that students leave cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and other personal electronic devices at home.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a focused, connected, and positive learning environment where all students can learn and thrive.

Safety Safety

E-bikes, e-motos and motorized scooters not allowed at school

Minnesota state law places a 15-year-old minimum age restriction for legal operation of any electric-assisted bicycle, commonly called E-Bikes. In addition, Anoka-Hennepin places restrictions regarding the operation of these vehicles and motorized scooters and e-motos on school property.

District guidelines: In order to ensure safety around school, Anoka-Hennepin Schools prohibits the use of E-bikes, e-motos and motorized scooters on elementary and middle school property during the school day and immediately before and after school. School property includes sidewalks, trails, fields, parking lots and roadways.
