FROM THE PRINCIPALS FROM THE PRINCIPALS

Greetings CMIT South Families,

As we move into October, we want to take a moment to celebrate the strong start we’ve had to the school year and to express our sincere gratitude for the partnership we continue to share with our families. Each week, we are inspired by the dedication, curiosity, and resilience of our students as they take on new challenges and strive for excellence. Their growth is a direct reflection of the collective effort among our teachers, staff, and families who model consistency, care, and commitment every day.

This month, our shared focus continues to be on attendance, timeliness, and engagement—three essential habits that lay the foundation for success in and beyond the classroom. Being present and prepared allows students to take full advantage of the rich learning experiences available to them. Families, we ask for your continued support in reinforcing these habits at home by ensuring that your student arrives on time, attends daily, and remains actively engaged in their learning. Together, we can build a culture of excellence and accountability across both campuses.

October also brings a number of opportunities for our students to learn, lead, and connect. From academic milestones and enrichment activities to our upcoming Middle School Dance and High School Dress Down and Friendly Costume Day tied to our attendance incentive, there are so many ways for our scholars to showcase their Tiger Pride. These moments of celebration help us strengthen our school culture and remind us that learning and joy go hand in hand.

As we approach the end of the first quarter, we encourage all families to monitor academic progress through Synergy communicate regularly with teachers, and utilize available supports such as tutoring, counseling, and enrichment programs. Let’s work together to ensure that every student ends the quarter confident, prepared, and proud of their accomplishments.

Thank you for your continued trust, engagement, and partnership. CMIT South is a thriving community because of the people who make it so—our students, our families, and our staff. We are proud of all we’ve accomplished so far and look forward to the continued success of our scholars throughout the year.

With appreciation,
Principal Tiffawny Green

⚽Boys Soccer
Our Boys Soccer team had a busy and exciting week! We kicked things off with a thrilling home matchup against CMIT North, where the boys battled hard and came away with a 3–2 victory! It was an intense back-and-forth contest, but our team’s composure and teamwork made the difference down the stretch. Later in the week, the team hit the road to face Gwynn Park. Although we came up short, the players showed great effort, chemistry, and growth. This group continues to improve each week and is building strong momentum as we head into the final stretch of the season.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS- EVERYDAY & ON TIME

Being present and on time sets students up for success! Daily attendance helps students stay on track academically, build strong routines, and feel connected to their school community.

To encourage good habits, we’re launching a grade-level cohort competition! The cohort on each grade level with the lowest percentage of absences and tardies for the month of September will win a special reward.

Let’s work together to help students show up every day, on time, and ready to learn. Every minute counts!
