“There’s no reason to stop reading to kids once they’re able to read themselves. Kids often enjoy hearing books a bit above their reading ability level, for example, hearing chapter books when they’re still reading picture books on their own. Reading together through elementary school supports their developing literacy and gives you both a chance to stay connected as they grow more independent.” - Child Mind Institute

Print at home or remind your student to grab one from school.
CES RECESS
Outdoor Recess:
As the weather remains cold, we want to remind families that outdoor recess remains an important part of our school day. Fresh air and physical activity help our students stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. We will continue to go outside whenever the temperature and conditions allow, so please be sure your child comes to school each day with a warm coat, hat, and gloves. Our new campus is windy even on a warm day! Thank you for helping us keep our students comfortable and ready to enjoy their time outdoors!
Indoor Recess:
Toys and personal items need to stay at home. CES is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen items. These items need to remain at home.
Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 3313.7118 requires elementary schools to provide a copy of an information sheet about Type 1 Diabetes created by ODH under ORC 3707.61. This information sheet is available below.
