Riverview Report
Here's What's Happening at Riverview
A Message From Ms. Poulson
At Riverview Elementary, we truly believe that every child has something special inside of them.
This year, our theme has been “Believe in Your Magic.” And what a magical year it has been!
The magic we talk about isn’t tricks or illusions, it’s something much more powerful. MAGIC is what happens when we choose to grow, learn, and care for one another every single day.
M: Mindset Matters. We learned that when we believe we can improve, try again, and keep going, amazing things happen.
A: Aim High. Our students set goals, worked hard, and reached higher than they thought possible.
G: Grow through Challenges. Mistakes weren’t the end of the story — they were the beginning of learning.
I: Imagine the Possibilities. Creativity filled our classrooms, hallways, stage, playground, and beyond.
C: Choose Kindness. We showed that the most powerful magic of all is how we treat each other.
Every classroom, every performance, every field trip, every recess, every friendship, all added to the story of this year. When I walk through our halls, I see students who are brave enough to try, strong enough to persevere, and kind enough to lift others along the way. That is real magic.
To our students: Never forget that your magic doesn’t come from what you have, it comes from who you are and who you are becoming. Keep believing in yourself. Keep aiming high. Keep choosing kindness.
To our teachers and staff: Thank you for creating classrooms where magic happens daily. Your belief in our students makes all the difference.
And to our families: Thank you for partnering with us and trusting us with your children. Together, we are building something truly special.
Riverview Rams, the magic is in you!
With pride and gratitude,
Bristi Poulson

Student Needs and Considerations
Even though we are still finishing up our current year, we are also getting ready for next school year. I value parent input, so please let me know if you have any special circumstances regarding placement for your child for the 2026-2027 school year.
The information you provide is one of several factors that will be considered when creating classes. This is not a teacher request form. Classes are balanced academically, behaviorally, and socially to ensure all students have an optimal learning environment. Creating classes is a great responsibility that I spend countless hours on, and take very seriously. The deadline to have this form turned in is Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 3:00 pm. I will do my best to place your child in the healthiest learning environment for them.
*Filling out this form is not a guarantee of placement in any class.
