Caragher's Corner
Afternoon Parents/Guardians,
Last week we had the wrong date in the "Upcoming Dates" section of the BB for P/T Conferences. For the sake of clarity, the correct date is Tuesday November 3.
Quick reminder as well that we will be having an Afternoon Skate (5-8) and Dance (7-8) on the 30th for GBS students. I would draw your attention to the social eligibility section of our handbook as we approach these events. It is noted that students must be:
- Recieving a passing grades
- Fewer than 5 administrative behavioral referrals (no suspensions during the current grading period)
- Present for more than 90% of the school year (10% is considered habitually truant by the state)
The objective of these expectations is to motivate our students in their acadmic, behavior, and attendance to school. If you have any questions, please reach out!
Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams that competed in the Tri-County Championship last Saturday. There were a number of outstanding individual accomplishments amidst a second place finish for both the girls and boys teams. Way to go and good luck to our individual racers representing GBS at the state meet this weekend!
Halloween Dress Up is on Friday 10/30. Students are welcome to dress up in their halloween costumes to school. Please use the following guidelines:
- Faces need to be seen (no masks or excessive makeup, we need to recognize our students)
- Follow School Dresscode (no advertising illegal substances, no hats, etc.)
- No excessive blood or gore
- No weapons or any type of replicas
Thank you for your continued support and continuing to collaborate as we work together to provide a solid experience for your students. Have a great weekend.
Adam Caragher, Principal ~ GBS
