September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we want to highlight the importance of being in school every day. This year, we’re bringing back the JEFCOED Trick-or-Treat Attendance Challenge for all Kindergarten through 5th grade classes!
Here’s how it works:
The Kindergarten - 5th grade classes with the highest average daily attendance in September will be invited to a special Trick-or-Treat celebration at the Jefferson County Board of Education on Friday, October 30!
Students will have the opportunity to dress in costume, trick-or-treat throughout the decorated departments, and meet Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin!
Last year, nearly 180 students were treated to this special experience, and this year, we want to see even more students earn the opportunity to join us!
