What another great week here at Southport Elementary! Our students completed several of their beginning of year tests. These are used to help teachers form book club groups, plan small group instruction, and address individual student needs. We appreciate all of the students trying their best!
On August 15th, we will have our first PTA meeting at 5:30 pm in our school library. We would love to see as many parents there as possible. At this first meeting we plan to discuss fall fundraising and activities, membership, and board positions. We will have a chin and spanish translator in attendance. Come and share your ideas with us!

¡Otra maravillosa semana en Southport Elementary! Nuestros alumnos terminaron varios de sus exámenes del comienzo del año. Esto ayuda a las maestras a diseñar los grupos de lectores, planificar instrucciones para grupos pequeños y dirigir las necesidades individuales de cada alumno. ¡Apreciamos que todos los alumnos hayan tratado lo mejor!
El 15 de Agosto tendremos nuestra primera reunión de PTA a las 5:30 en la biblioteca de nuestra escuela. Nos gustaría ver la mayor cantidad de padres si es posible. En esta primer reunión nos gustaría hablar sobre recaudaciones de fondos y actividades, membresía y puestos de comité. Tendremos a un traductor de Chin y Espanol.
