The school year is in full swing, and your dedication is already making a difference. As routines settle and classrooms come alive, this is a great time to reflect, reset, and recharge. Thank you for all you do. Wishing you a smooth and meaningful September!
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." — Nelson Mandela
This month is a vital opportunity to foster open conversations around mental health and well-being. Consider sharing resources with students and staff, promoting kindness and connection, and reminding everyone that help is always available. Your presence and care can be life changing. Here is a reminder Get Help - 988 Lifeline The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
Self-Care Awareness Month, observed every September, is a dedicated time to reflect on the importance of self-care. It encourages individuals to nurture their physical, mental, and emotional well-being through intentional habits and practices. Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential for maintaining balance and overall health.
Did you know:
- Practicing self-care can reduce stress by up to 30%.
- Activities like meditation and journaling are scientifically proven to boost mental clarity.

Growing Readers - Candidate Kickoff
August 14, 2025
Growing Readers launched its Candidate Kickoff to establish a statewide network of instructional coaches dedicated to strengthening literacy instruction. Coaches and leaders from across the CSRA joined colleagues from throughout Georgia to collaborate, learn, and reflect on their role in supporting teachers and students. This kickoff marks the beginning of the 2025–2027 cohort in a sustained professional development system designed to cultivate skilled, impactful literacy leadership across the state.
The Let’s Read Georgia Specialists, Growing Readers Specialists, Structured Literacy Coaches, and many Instructional Coaches from our district met at the All Coach’s Meeting at Central Georgia Tech College on Aug. 13th to discuss how these roles will intertwine this year in our schools to support our teachers.
