Dear Parents/Guardians,

Happy Homecoming Parade Day! We are excited to announce that today's parade will commence at PHS at 4:00 p.m. Our students and staff have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this week's themed dress-up activities.

The Parent Teacher Conference link was emailed out last Friday. Slots are filling up for in-person and virtual conferences. Please be sure to sign up ASAP. Conference links will be closed on Friday, October 24th. Additionally, our specialists and Special Education team also offer conferences.

In the coming weeks, we will conduct an unannounced drill to practice our "Hold" and "Secure" protocols as part of our Standard Safety Protocols. We continue to collaborate with the Will County Police Department and will have their presence on-site during these drills.

Additionally, we invite you to support our students by visiting our PIC Amazon Wishlist linked below. All contributions, regardless of size, directly benefit our students, and we greatly appreciate your generosity.

Please note that today is a Common Plan Day, and students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. Reminder that our first popcorn day is coming up. If you have not yet filled out the Food Permission Slip below, please do.

Lastly, PIC and PJHS are excited to pilot digital report cards this school year! Report cards will be emailed directly to the parent contact associated with the student's PowerSchool Parent Account at noon on Friday, October 24.

If any technical issues arise with this new system, we will send out a follow-up communication to keep families informed. If you do not receive an email that afternoon, please contact your building office. As always, you can view your child’s grades anytime through the PowerSchool app.

Thank you for your continued support.

Bus Transportation Change Update 9/22/25

With the increase in students on bus routes this year, we are no longer able to allow extra passengers to ride home with other students. Families will need to make alternate arrangements for these situations.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support.

School Attendance School Attendance

We encourage families to ensure that their students arrive at school on time every day. We recognize that there are valid reasons for students to miss school occasionally. To help keep everyone informed, we send attendance reminder letters at 7, 10, and 14 absences. Additionally, we collaborate with Will County Truancy Officers to provide extra support services for families in need. The attendance team at PIC is dedicated to partnering with families for their success. Please feel free to reach out to our office or Principal Tekiela with any questions or concerns.
