Good Evening K9 Families,

It has been a wonderful week here at Wallin Oaks! Our classrooms have been full of energy, curiosity, and some truly incredible learning. It’s always exciting to see our students engaged, asking questions, and growing each day. Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff who make these meaningful learning experiences possible!

Don’t forget that tonight is the PTA STEAM Fair beginning at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to stop by and check out the impressive projects our students have created. Their creativity, problem-solving, and innovation are on full display, and it’s a great opportunity to celebrate their hard work!

As you read through the rest of the newsletter, you’ll also find more information about our upcoming Music and Art Show, which is always a highlight of the season. We can’t wait to showcase the incredible talents of our students.

Finally, Spring Picture Day is coming up on Thursday, March 19th. Be sure to keep reading below for more information on how to purchase your child’s photos.

Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see many of you at the STEAM Fair tonight!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Children First,

Dr. Marie Zlotnikov, Principal

Samantha Helland, Assistant Principal

Attendance and Transportation Reminders Attendance and Transportation Reminders

We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.

Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.

Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.

Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!

Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders

Morning Drop Off

For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.

To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.

Afternoon Pick Up

Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
