Parking Lot & Bus Ramp Safety
The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. During morning arrival, we have a high volume of buses, vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters all moving through the same areas. Following these procedures helps keep traffic flowing smoothly and reduces the risk of accidents as students arrive on campus each day.
Please remember:
- Buses begin arriving at MCHS at 6:30 a.m. and continue unloading until approximately 7:25 a.m.
- The lane marked “Buses Only” is reserved exclusively for bus traffic during morning arrival.
- Parents may drop students off in the PAC parking lot, with students entering through the Main Commons entrance.
- If you are using the parent drop-off line at the front of the building, please pull all the way forward before allowing your student to exit the vehicle. Both the 9th Grade and Main Campus entrances are open to all students, so students may enter through either location. Pulling forward helps prevent traffic from backing up onto the street and into the intersection.
- Student drop-off is not permitted in the Special Education bus loading zone, except for authorized vehicles. It is imperative that this area remain clear so there is adequate, safe space for our Special Education buses to load and unload students.
- Follow the designated traffic flow patterns at all times.
- Drive slowly and remain alert for faculty vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters.
- Students should use designated crosswalks when crossing parking lots and drive lanes.
- E-bike and scooter riders should be especially aware of their surroundings during morning arrival.
- Visibility can be limited in the early morning hours, so extra caution is appreciated.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a safe and orderly arrival for everyone at Mayde Creek High School.
🚗Student Parking🚗
PARKING REMINDERS!
Students, please remember you must park in a designated student parking spot at MCHS. Students who park their vehicles in lots outside of campus grounds will be towed.
As reminder, if you need a parking pass, you can do that online. The fee is $50 (through Pay n' Go), and you will need to submit a picture of your license, a picture of your insurance, and information in this form. Once you have completed all of that, you may come to Mr. Glass's office (2301) to pick up your sticker. You will not be able to park in the parking lot until you have picked up your sticker.
Please contact Ms. Quintana in the 11th grade office (ritagquintanalopez@katyisd.org) if you have additional questions.
