Benton Weekly Update

Last Saturday, Mr. Bremer's Underwater Robotics team competed in the MATE ROV competition at Long Beach City College. Their team placed 1st in their Division, and 2nd overall among all the divisions. Congratulations to Benton's Team Shark!

Last week's Benton Olympics determined the participants for the NLM Middle Schools Track & Field Competition. The track meet will be on Wednesday beginning approximately 12 noon-5pm at La Mirada High School Stadium. Students will be provided with a sack lunch and should bring a refillable water bottle. Good luck Wolverines in defending your championship title!

Mark your calendars for our Kaleidoscope VAPA Festival on Friday, May 15th. We like to say that Kaleidoscope is like Coachella, but at Benton! Beginning at 4:30pm with Visual Arts exhibits, there will be multiple stages for performances beginning at 5pm, food trucks, and a robotics Rooma Rumble. This is an event for the entire family and community, be sure not to miss it! Are you interested in purchasing a Kaleidoscope t-shirt? We have a new t-shirt vendor for the same styles. $20 for short sleeve, $25 for long sleeve. They will be on sale from the Boosters after school Monday and at the event Friday.

Have you purchased a yearbook? We've only sold about 150 (list linked here) we only ordered 375, and we have 700 students. Buy it now to ensure that you get one; once they're sold out, they're sold out!

You can now purchase the 25-26 Benton Yearbook in the school office (cash or check payable to ASB) or on our Webstore. The Yearbook is produced by Benton students and is delivered the last week of school. It's important to purchase your yearbook in advance, as we only print the number of books we sell in advance. Don't miss out, secure your yearbook now!

The Benton School Site Council will meet at 3:30pm on Thursday, 5/14 in the Benton Conference Room. The SSC will update and review the Benton SPSA, the agenda is at this link: SSC Agenda for 5/14/26

Waite MS is on the corner of Rosecrans and Norwalk BLvd. The center will be open from 8am-12noon.

For all 8th Graders attending the Disneyland trip, make sure you have turned in your permission slip to the office! The bus will leave Benton at 8:45am and will return to Benton approximately 8:30pm.

Our retro sweatshirts are available for purchase in the Benton office.

Parents, please help us by checking your student's outfit before they leave for school. If students are out of dress code, the students will be asked to change into P.E. clothes or a loaner shirt or shorts.
