A. W. Becker Elementary takes a field trip to the New York State Museum as part of their study of the Native Americans of the Northeast Woodlands A. W. Becker Elementary takes a field trip to the New York State Museum as part of their study of the Native Americans of the Northeast Woodlands

In conjunction with their study of the Native Americans of the Northeast Woodlands, the fourth graders at A. W. Becker Elementary traveled to the New York State Museum to learn more about how the Haudenosaunee and Algonquin people lived throughout history in what we now call New York State. As a culminating activity, the fourth graders also researched an aspect of Native American culture and created a project to display what they learned. Projects included wigwams and longhouses, wampum belts and headdresses, and more. The projects were displayed in the Becker hallways for the school community to enjoy and learn from throughout January! #RCSLovestoLearn

Happy National School Counselor Appreciation Week! Happy National School Counselor Appreciation Week!

February 6 through 10 is National School Counselor Appreciation Week! We are incredibly grateful for the talented team of counselors we have here at RCS who work hard to support our students and families! No two students follow the same path, but our counselors work diligently to identify opportunities for students that help expand their potential and allow them to dive into their passions. Thank you, School Counselors – for your dedication and all that you do for our students, staff, and families!
