Magnolia's Talent Show Celebration
Thank you to all our performers at this week's Magnolia Talent Show! From our youngest students in K-2 to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, every single one of you showed real courage stepping on that stage. We loved watching singers share their voices, dancers move with confidence, pianists play with skill, a magician amaze us with their tricks, and a student perform a live science experiment. Each performance was a unique celebration of creativity and talent.
Every child who took the stage displayed remarkable bravery. Whether you won an award or performed for the first time, you should be proud! It takes guts to get up there and share your talent with the whole school. Your willingness to share your gifts reminds us that courage is the true mark of a winner, and every one of you has shined brightly this week.
Congratulations to all our award winners, and heartfelt thanks to our families for coming out to celebrate these amazing young people. We're so lucky to have you at Magnolia!

Paine Kindergartners Present “Get Down with Mother Goose” at HTHS
Paine kindergartners recently took the stage at Hewitt-Trussville High School for their end-of-year musical performance, Get Down with Mother Goose!
Under the direction of Paine music teachers Josh Ferguson and Leslie Rogers, students wowed the audience with their singing, dancing, and enthusiasm as they brought classic nursery rhyme characters to life in a fun and energetic production. Each kindergarten class had its own nursery rhyme theme to dress as, and all of the students looked absolutely wonderful on stage.
We are so proud of our Paine kindergartners for their hard work and confidence on stage, and thankful to our music teachers, staff, and families who helped make this special performance such a success!
The consultant team for the new comprehensive plan created a virtual workshop for community members who could not attend either the in-person Opening Presentation and Mapping Exercise held on April 16, 2026, or the Community Ideas Exchange Workshop held on May 7, 2026. The virtual workshop provides additional opportunities to be heard in a way organized around the same mapping exercise and survey stations used at the two in-person events. The virtual workshop is geared to be a digital-twin of the two in-person events to the greatest extent possible. Feedback from the website will be combined with input from the two in-person events for reporting. You can access the workshop activities by clicking the “virtual workshop” button on the blue banner on the home page of our website: https://www.futuregenplan.com/ Then be sure to click the ten "participate" buttons in the boxes underneath the photo from our live event to access the mapping exercise and all the station exercises created for the virtual workshop. You can always come back to the landing page for the virtual workshop by hitting the "Return to List of Survey Stations" link (in red text) at the bottom of each station survey. You can start and stop in the virtual workshop as you wish. Some participants decide to complete the mapping exercise and all nine stations in one sitting. Others complete them over multiple visits. The virtual workshop will close on May 26, 2026, so the consultant team has enough time to combine the input received from both the in-person and virtual events. Please share this message with your friends, family members, social circles, co-workers, etc. to get the word out and maximize the input we receive for the new Trussville Comprehensive Plan v. 2.0.

It's Time to RIDE with the HUSKIES!
We want you to be one of the first people with the opportunity to ride with the Huskies!
The Trussville City Schools Foundation and the Trussville City Schools Athletic Foundation have partnered to create a Distinctive Car Tag through the state of Alabama that supports Trussville City Schools! We are giving away the first 1000 car tags completely free to you, and we want you to be one of the first 1000 to ride with the Huskies!
We currently have 350 signups and need 650 more to get to production! Please sign up today!
1. What is the Trussville City Schools distinctive car tag?
It’s a specialty license plate that shows your support for both the Trussville City Schools Foundation and the Trussville City Schools Athletic Foundation.
2. Who benefits from the tag?
Both foundations benefit directly. Funds support educational programs, classroom needs, and athletic opportunities for students.
3. How much does the tag cost?
The first year is FREE for the first 1,000 people who sign up. After that, individuals have the option of paying $50 to renew their plate. This would be handled at the tag office.
4. How much money goes back to the schools?
From each tag purchased, $48.75 goes directly to support the two foundations.
5. Why is it important to be one of the first 1,000?
Reaching the first 1,000 commitments helps ensure the tag becomes available—and you’ll also get your first year free.
6. Do I have to pay anything up front?
No—there is no upfront cost to reserve your tag as part of the first 1,000. The only cost is upon renewal of your car tag.
7. When will I receive my tag?
Once the 1,000 commitment goal is met and production is approved, you will be emailed a voucher. Individuals will take the voucher to their tag office and pick up the license plate free of charge.
8. Where do I get my tag?
You will pick up your car tag from your local tag office. The Trussville Tag Office will have the tags available upon request.
9. Can I still get the tag after the first 1,000?
Yes! However, the free first-year offer only applies to the first 1,000 participants.
10. How do I sign up?
You can sign up through the official Google form provided by the school system or foundations.
11. Can businesses or organizations participate?
Absolutely! Anyone with an eligible vehicle can sign up and show their support.
12. Why should I participate?
It’s an easy way to give back, show school pride, and directly support students, teachers, and athletic programs in Trussville. Show everyone that you are riding with the Huskies.
