Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
We enjoyed welcoming your children to school this week, with cool crisp mornings and warm sunny afternoons, too! [Pictured: Students entering Lane School on the first day, and the Class of 2025!] As we begin a new year of learning together, I am excited to share the draft 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, which will be presented to the school committee at their September 10th meeting. The plan along with a feedback survey will be posted to our website shortly thereafter, and I welcome additional conversations and feedback through the remainder of the month. The school committee to vote on the plan at their October 8th meeting. See you next week!
Best,
Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅

Please review the updated Bus Transportation Guidelines and please visit the Bedford Public Schools Transportation webpage for routes and bus stops. Families whose students receive specialized transportation should have received direct communication regarding the specifics. If you have any questions regarding specialized transportation, please reach out to Debbie Barnes at deborah_barnes@bedfordps.org.
Important Detour Note for Lane Families: There is road work that is being done on Sweetwater Avenue that will require detours onto Wildwood and Hayden for buses and cars. More information will be shared directly with Lane families. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone's cooperation.
To emphasize the importance of attending school, DESE's "Power of Presence" initiative asks you to submit a creative piece of artwork, music, photography, videography, writing, etc. to express why you attend school. We hope to hear from everyone: pre-K to adult students, families, school staff, educators, and administrators!
