American Education Week!
Dear BES Families,
Thank you for coming to our Veterans Day program! It is truly what makes our community so special. We also had a great turn-out for our Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day! Thank you to all our volunteers and families who participated. Check out all our photos and videos below.
November is a time for gratitude... it is also a time to honor educators this week for American Education week. We would love to shower our teachers with notes of appreciation from YOU! Use the link below to write a note to your student's teacher (or any teacher) and we will print and deliver them for you!

Pssst: Thursday is the 67th day of the school year!!! We plan on having a little 6-7 fun with the kids!
Have a great week,
Cindy Apple, Principal

Support For Our Families
Hello USD 416 Families and Friends,
Believe it or not, cold weather and the holiday season are fast approaching. The added expense of this season can be a heavy burden. The USD 416 social worker/counselor team wanted to share with you some free resources for winter coats, Thanksgiving meal baskets and Christmas gifts (Christmas gift program is for Louisburg children birth to 18). Please be mindful of each deadline for requesting assistance. As far away as they seem, the deadlines will be here before you know it.
If your family could benefit from a little extra support to ease the seasonal burden, then please see our newsletter to learn about some wonderful resources!

Attendance and School Calendar
Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.
Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!
If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.
GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
