PCSD To Launch "Say Something" Anonymous Reporting System
Further Strengthens School Safety
Dallas, GA — As part of its ongoing commitment to providing safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environments, the Paulding County School District (PCSD) is launching the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, a new safety initiative that gives students, staff, parents, and community members a simple and confidential way to report concerns.
The district is partnering with Sandy Hook Promise, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization founded by family members of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Sandy Hook Promise is dedicated to preventing violence before it happens by educating students, families, educators, and communities to recognize warning signs, build connections, and intervene when someone may be at risk.
Through the Say Something program, students, parents, staff, and community members will have access to a confidential, 24-hour reporting system that allows them to anonymously share concerns about student safety or well-being. Reports may involve bullying, threats of violence, self-harm, substance abuse, or any situation in which a student may need assistance. Every submission is immediately reviewed by trained crisis professionals, who work with district officials and local public safety agencies to ensure an appropriate and timely response.
In compliance with Georgia House Bill 268, students in grades 4-12 will participate in age-appropriate educational programming developed by Sandy Hook Promise. Through engaging presentations, lessons, and activities, students will learn how to identify warning signs, seek help from trusted adults, support their peers, and take action when they are concerned about themselves or others. "The safety of our students, staff, and visitors remains our highest priority," said Superintendent Steve Barnette. "Over the last several years, we have made significant investments in strengthening school safety throughout Paulding County. The Say Something program adds another important layer to those efforts by empowering students and community members to recognize concerns and speak up before a situation escalates."
The Say Something Anonymous Reporting System will be active beginning September 21, 2026. Anyone with knowledge of a potential safety concern is encouraged to submit a confidential report using the reporting link below:
