The Ferrazzani Friday Update
February 28th, 2025

๐ Halfway Through Quarter 1! ๐
Progress Reports are LIVE!
Happy Friday Wolves! I hope you have all had an amazing week!! Today marks halfway through the first quarter of the school year, and that means its Progress Report Time! If you log into PowerSchool, you will be able to see how your student is doing so far this year. Reminder that we have shifted to Standards Based Scoring (please see details below) so Progres Reports might look a little different this year. Feel free to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or clarifications needed.
๐กStudents in the Spotlight๐ก
3A is Leading with Positivity
Ms Brittany and her 3A class start each morning with positive affirmations! This is such an amazing way to promote positive self-talk and bring out the amazing qualities of one another in the classroom! Today we were invited to watch them sing and dance their way through their positive affirmations and it was the BEST! Amazing job to our third graders and to Ms Brittany for creating such a positive learning environment for our students.
๐ธ SMILE! Picture Day is On the Way! ๐ธ
K-5 Picture Day is 10/7
Students will be taking individual pictures on October 7th. Please make sure all students are in their uniform and on time for school so they do not miss their pictures. Order forms went home this week so please keep an eye out for those! Picture retakes will be in December and class pictures will be in the spring.
๐บ W.O.L.F Pride ๐บ
Our WOLF Wall is Overflowing!!
We are another week into looking for students who are being a W.O.L.F (Working Responsibly, Owning Our Choices, Loving Learning, Friendship). We have completely filled out WOLF Wall this week and had to start decorating the surrounding walls to show off all the amazing recognition our students are getting! We even had to spread out to the other side of the hallway. Congrats to Joshua, Amanda, Jared, Ms Rauseo and the entire 3A class for being this week's surprise shoutouts!
๐Attendance Incentives! ๐
A Note from Ms Stephanie
Just a friendly reminder about our Perfect Attendance Incentive! Each week, classes with perfect attendance Monday through Friday will be named the Perfect Attendance Class of the Week.
The winning class in each grade will:
๐ Keep the Attendance Trophy in their classroom for the week
โญ๏ธ Have a special star on their door celebrating their achievement
Letโs keep working together to help our students be here every day, on time, and ready to learn! Attendance matters, and every day counts.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping their class reach this fun goal!
Ms. Stephanie Cardoso
Attendance Officer
๐ซ Student Handbook ๐ซ
A Review of Policies and Procedures
Please take some time to review the student handbook for grades K-4. We will ask you to sign off on this when logging into PowerSchool to access your student's grades.
๐งฅ Wolfie's Closet ๐งฅ
Help Support Our Students
Weโre excited to share a resource at our school: Wolfieโs Closet โ a place where students in need can access free school uniforms and a limited supply of toiletries and non-uniform clothing.
Whether a student is in need of a uniform or a warm layer for the winter, Wolfieโs Closet is here to help with dignity and care.
How You Can Help:
We are currently seeking donations of gently used uniforms in good condition. If your child has outgrown their clothing, consider donating to support another member of our Wolf Pack!
Donations can be dropped off anytime in the entryways of the main office and high school during school hours.
As we get Wolfie's Closet up and running, we kindly ask that families reach out only if there is a real need, as our supplies are currently limited. But, please do not hesitate to reach out if you do have a need!
If your student needs access to our closet, please contact your Asst/Associate Principals or Counselor.
Thank you for helping us build a strong and supportive school community! ๐๐ค

๐ Dismissal Reminders ๐
A Few Reminders to Help Keep Everyone Safe
Our goal is to always make sure dismissal runs smoothly and safely.
- ALL Parent Pickup cars should be in the pickup lane (Right-hand drive, closest to the school)
- There should be no cars in the bus lane or parked in parking spots to pick up students
- All cars must pull up to the sidewalk to get students. Students will not be allowed to cross into traffic.
- All parents should remain in their cars to keep the flow of traffic moving
- Students will enter cars through the rear passenger side door.
If you need to change how your student is going home for a day, it needs to go through the front office by 2:00!
Students will also not be able to be dismissed after 3:00. If you need to pull your kiddo out early for an appointment please make sure it is before 3:00 and that the front office is notified earlier in the day.
๐ Standards Based Grading ๐
This year we will be shifting to Standards Based Report Cards
A new standards-based report card format will be introduced in grades K-4 in the 2025-2026 school year. While parents and students in grades K-4 will continue to view report cards through Power School, the format will look different. Students in grades 3-4 will continue to receive a letter grade for each subject, but will also be assessed using state standards for each subject area, including specials. Kindergarteners will continue to be assessed using only standards. Teachers will assess students using the state standards to insure clarity and consistency in expectations across classroom and grade levels. The standards-based design will allow more detailed feedback aligned with specific learning goals for each of the subjects, thereby aiding parents, students, teachers and administrators to focus on growth and areas needing additional support.
