Happy Summer Break- School Resumes on August 11, 2026

Husky Families,

As we close out another remarkable school year at "The Centennial High School," I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our students, staff, and families. This year was filled with growth, perseverance, and countless moments of pride and joy—from classroom achievements to athletic victories, performances, service projects, and everything in between.

To our amazing students: thank you for your spirit, resilience, and heart. You continue to inspire us every single day.

To our dedicated staff: your commitment to our mission and to each student’s success is the heartbeat of our school.

And to our families: thank you for your constant support and partnership throughout the year.

As we head into summer, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy what matters most—family, friends, and some well-earned fun. Whether you're traveling, working, or just taking it slow, I hope this break brings joy and renewal.

Have a safe, relaxing, and memorable summer. We look forward to welcoming you back in the fall, ready for another year of excellence—The Husky Way!

Proud Husky,

Dr. Romero

As we prepare for a successful school year, we want to share our 25-26 Cell Phone Policy, designed to promote a focused and respectful learning environment for all students.

Starting this school year, Centennial High School is implementing a clear set of expectations and progressive interventions regarding student cell phone use. Our goal is to limit distractions during instructional time, ensure student safety, and support a culture of academic excellence.

Key Expectations Include:

  • Phones and earbuds must be put away during instructional time.

  • Phones must be silenced when entering a classroom.

  • Cell phones are not permitted in hallways or restrooms during class time.

  • Teachers will develop classroom policies aligned with our school-wide policy.

Progressive Interventions:
We believe in supporting students through reflection and accountability. Our interventions begin with a teacher warning and escalate only as necessary, including phone storage in the front office for repeat offenses.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home. By working together, we can help students stay engaged and responsible in their learning.

If you have any questions about the policy, please feel free to contact the Administration Office.

CAMPUS SAFETY

HUSKY VERIFIED? It is a district-wide expectation that all ALL students and staff have their physical campus-issued ID card visible on their person while entering and walking around school. (electronic copies will not be permitted).

DROP-OFFS

For safety and security purposes, any and all personal items, including food (snacks, lunch, etc.) and sports equipment will need to be brought to school by the student, before the bell rings. Drop-offs of these items during the school day will not be permitted. If you have medical supplies or medication deliver to the school, please call and schedule an appointment with the nurse to review details and prescription guidelines.

HALL PASSES

All students are required to have a paper copy of the campus-printed hall pass when they are outside of their classroom. It must be dated, time-stamped, and signed by their teacher. Students found truant, roaming the hallway, or skipping class will be issued progressive discipline (Saturday School, ACP, suspension, etc.).

STUDENT SIGN-OUT/EARLY PICK UP

Please keep in mind when scheduling your appointments that ALL students must be signed out prior to 3:00 pm. After 3:00 pm school staff will be unable to accommodate parent/guardian requests for early student dismissal/checkout as they position and prepare for campus-wide dismissal.

STUDENT RELEASE/SIGN-OUT PROCEDURES

For safety, security, and liability reasons, students will only be released to adults who are listed in the student's emergency contacts in Parent Connect. The parent/guardian/emergency contact MUST present an original hard copy of a government-issued ID. NO EXCEPTIONS

SEE SOMETHING, HEAR SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING

Please remember that campus safety is EVERYONE’s responsibility. The “See Something, Hear Something, Say Something” campaign continues across the district. If you have concerns please contact the CNUSD Speak Up for Safety tip line by calling or texting (951) 589-0600 or send an email to speakup@students.cnusd.k12.ca.us. Thank you! For the 2025-26 school year, breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided free of charge to all students. Also, please remember that food, drink and personal item drop-offs are prohibited before and during the school day.
