Bus App Information from Safeway
Dear District 41 Families,
We apologize for any problems that you are encountering with the "Here Comes the Bus Application." We are in the process of correcting technical issues we are having with the software through our IT Department and vendor. We anticipate having the application fully functional by Tuesday September 9, 2025, to ensure all software updates have been completed. In the interim, please send any questions to the following email addresses. Include Student Name, Student ID, your Contact Number for a call back and brief description of the problem. We have also included an instructional flyer that may help. Once again thank you for your patience.

Kindergarten Center Ribbon Cutting
On Thursday, August 28, District 41 celebrated the opening of the Kindergarten Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Over 100 attendees were welcomed inside the new Center for a tour and refreshments. Thank you to everyone who made this new building a reality including partners Frederick Quinn Corporation and Wight & Co.

Student Handbook for the 2025-26 School Year
CLICK HERE for the Student Handbook.
Each year, the Student Handbook is updated and provides basic information on important matters such as curriculum, discipline, student health, parent-teacher conferences, and more.
Help your child have a successful school year by becoming familiar with the information in this handbook and discussing it with your child as appropriate.
This handbook is based on Board Policy with relevant policy sections noted in parentheses. Parents are encouraged to review Board Policy, which is provided in a searchable format. The Board of Education reviews and amends its policy regularly; if the policy differs from information in this handbook, Board Policy takes precedence.
Note: The Spanish version of the Student Handbook will be posted here soon.
La versión en español del Manual del Estudiante se publicará aquí pronto.

Lions Club Pasta Dinner Supports D41
The Glen Ellyn Lions Club provides eye exams and glasses to District 41 students in need throughout the school year. Thank you to the Lions Club for your support. All families are invited to attend the Lions Club annual Pasta Dinner on September 13!
GECRC Volunteers Needed
The Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center volunteer application for the 2025-26 school year is open! GECRC's school year program will begin at their five sites on September 15; they are in need of volunteers to commit to one or more days per week when they can work with students for one hour after school. Current volunteer tutors need to login to their account, make changes to any information that has changed, and answer any new questions. New volunteers will need to complete a brand new application.
If you know you can volunteer at some point in the school year, but not right away (for example, you might have a fall sport or commitment and can't start volunteering until January), please still apply now so GECRC knows how many volunteers they have in their pool throughout the school year.
Applications are linked here: https://www.gecrc.com/volunteer/
E-mail volunteer@gecrc.com with any questions.
