Budget Update #3

Staff,

The District remains committed to transparency and regular clear communication on the budgeting process. As we progress through the budget timeline, February will be an important month. We intend to manage a phased reduction approach and are developing budget reduction scenarios to present to the school board for consideration.

In this staff update, Superintendent Eagle shares the following information on where we are currently in the budgeting process, actions that have been taken and next steps.

• Staffing and enrollment rates

• Staff feedback themes

• Targeted reduction amount

• Deliberate savings and board-approved use of reserves to aid reductions

• Managing a phased approach to making reductions over multiple years
