It was wonderful meeting so many of you at our play date at Angel's! Thank you to everyone who came out. We loved seeing our newest Tigers getting to know one another before the school year begins.

We are so excited to welcome our very first Pre-K and ECSE students to West Cypress! This is going to be an incredible year filled with learning, growth, friendships, and fun.

While my school-wide family newsletter includes important information for all families (please read this thoroughly), I wanted to share a brief Pre-K FAQ since this is a new program at our school. Below are answers to many of the questions I've received from families. I hope you find this information helpful as we prepare for a fantastic first year together!

Sincerely,

Laura Keogh, Principal

Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions

Do Pre-K students have access to bus transportation?

  • No. Bus transportation is not available for Pre-K students. Parents or guardians must park and walk their child to the Pre-K entrance each morning, where they will be greeted by a Pre-K staff member.
  • Pre-K parking is located at the back of the building, and the Pre-K entrance is also on the back side of the school.
  • Please note that Pre-K students may not be dropped off in either of the school’s car rider lines.

Will there be nap time?

  • Yes! Pre-K students have a 50-minute rest time each afternoon. Please send a nap mat with your child for this daily rest period.

What does a typical day look like?

A detailed daily schedule will be shared during Meet the Teacher. Each day, students participate in a variety of engaging learning experiences, including:

  • Reading Language Arts (RLA)
