Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5 - 9. If you are looking for an easy way to say thanks just share a quick message with your student's teacher or let our front office know, so we can pass along the message with a special PUMA P.A.T.S note of thanks/recognition/appreciation.
La Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros es del 5 al 9 de mayo. Si está buscando una manera fácil de agradecer, simplemente comparta un mensaje rápido con el maestro de su hijo o infórmeselo a nuestra oficina principal, para que podamos transmitir el mensaje con una nota especial de PUMA P.A.T.S. agradecimiento/reconocimiento/aprecio.
Please check your student's backpack every day. There is a lot happening this Spring and we don't want you or your student to miss out on anything.
Por favor, revise la mochila de su estudiante todos los días. Hay mucho que hacer esta primavera y no queremos que usted ni su estudiante se pierdan nada.
A medida que el clima se vuelve más cálido, ayude a su hijo a elegir la ropa adecuada para la escuela. La ropa de su hijo no debe causar interrupciones en el aprendizaje y debe mantenerlo seguro. As the weather gets warmer, help your child make appropriate clothing choices for school. Your child's clothing should not cause disruptions to learning and should keep them safe. Remember, students will be outside for recess, enjoying the new play structure, and we don't want any one to get hurt or sunburned. Shoes should be appropriate for running and not stepping on bees, glass or rocks outside. Please take a minute in the morning to check what your child is wearing.

This month's character trait is courage. Courage is choosing what is helpful, right, and kind - even when it is scary. As we learn about courage this month, ask your student the following:
- Can you share or show what it means to have Courage?
- When you practice Courage, how does it make you feel? Why?
