Madeira Elementary Where learning is personalized and success is ensured.

January 20th, 2025 January 20th, 2025

Hello MES Families,

I hope you are all enjoying your MLK day and some extra weekend with your kiddos! Last week was a great full week of learning and getting into the swing of things for the second half of the year.

I know these VERY cold mornings are not going to make this request an easy one, but I am asking that you please arrive early enough, if dropping your child off in the car line, to ensure they are in the building just before 9am. We have had a large number of cars coming in after 9am causing our school day to start off a bit delayed.

As a reminder, we open the carline at 8:40 to ensure time for the line to move through. Also, bus riders are never tardy! This week we will begin to put cones out to block the car loop just before 9am. Students will then need to check in at the main office as tardy.

I am looking forward to warming up the building tomorrow with a bunch of awesome kids and staff! Thanks for doing your part to add to the awesomeness at MES!

Take care,

Chandley

We had a sweet start to 2025! Our tasty root vegetable that was served in the form of a chip; sweet potato chips! They were a fan favorite made with only three ingredients; sweet potatoes, avocado oil and sea salt! I purchased a big bag of these tasty treats at Costco! Sweet potatoes can be air fried, baked or made into a pie! They are the perfect comfort veggie for these cold winter days.
