Rachel Phillips of the class of 2029 was accepted into UMass Amherst's Juniper Institute for Young Writers summer creative writing program. The Juniper Institute for Young Writers (JIYW) provides an immersion in the writer’s life, a pre-college experience on the UMass campus, and an unforgettable two weeks for rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders, and the high school class of 2026. Our two-week residential creative writing program is designed for young writers who are passionate about creative writing and ready to take their writing practice to the next level with the one-on-one guidance of a Creative Writing Instructor. Congratulations, Rachel!

How Shall We Live: Berkshire Youth Artists Explore Their Relationship with the Earth in the Time of Climate Change was a juried student art show that explores how high schoolers from across Berkshire County express their views about climate change and inspire others to care for the environment. The show was presented in late April at The Clark in Williamstown. Here are some of the works exhibited by LMHS students:
Save on your Chromebook insurance next year!
Protect your school-issued Chromebook, and save on your insurance next year! If you purchase a Chromebook sleeve you'll save $5 on your insurance for the 2026-2027 school year. (Note that our insurance provider has let us know that the insurance next year will increase from $25 to $30 -- so if you buy a sleeve for protection, the insurance rate won't increase for you.)
