Week 28
Dear MUMS community,
Students did an incredible job this week focusing on VTCAP assessments! Thank you for getting your student to school this week and encouraging them to do their best work! If your student missed a session of the assessment we will work with them next week to be sure the assessment is completed by the close of the testing window.
On another note, it was so wonderful to see our spring sports teams begin practicing this week! There were signs of spring in the air yesterday and seeing students on our athletic fields was one of them! Thank you to all of our staff and community coaches. Without you our activities wouldn't be possible.
Lastly, our teachers are diligently working on report cards this week, with an expectation to mail them late next week. If you have questions regarding your student's report card, please reach out to their teacher of record.
Thank you again for your continued support and collaboration, and have a great weekend.
Best,
Michaela Wisell ~ Principal

Greetings MUMS Caregivers!
It is (almost?) spring time and 6th grade science is heading outside to learn about watersheds! In this unit, students are exploring human impacts on the environment.
Pictured here, they are using turbidity tubes to measure the turbidity (like cloudiness) of water. They collected water samples from around school grounds and wetlands a few days ago. They then recorded this data into tables.. Students will explore the relationship between land use in a watershed and the turbidity of surface waters to reflect on sediment pollution in our area.
Attention 8th Grade Caregivers
If you have a student that applied for a Hannaford Carer Center course for next year, please check your mail for an applicant decision letter. Students should bring the attached form with a signature to the counseling office at MUMS regardless of whether they intend to take the course or not.
MUMS FAMILY GAME NIGHT
SPIRIT WEEK!
Student Absences, Dismissals + Bus Notes
If your student will be absent from school, needs an early dismissal, or will take a different bus, please follow these directions:
- Absence / early dismissal: Call 802-382-1297, the MUMS attendance line, before 8:30am (helpful tip: add this number to your phone now as "MUMS attendance line")
- Early dismissal + bus notes: Students must deliver a caregiver's note to the front office when arriving at school (before TA).
- If taking a bus other than their regular bus: Students must bring a caregiver's note and have it signed by a MUMS Administrative Assistant in the front office to be valid.
Shoreham/Cornwall bus caveats
Please use the "button" above to preview our ACSD bus routes.
Also please note a few caveats that impact students who ride Cornwall or Shoreham buses home.
Cornwall and Shoreham buses do not come to MUMS at pick-up time. Students who ride those buses must take a shuttle from MUMS to MUHS to meet their bus.
Cornwall students use the Bridport bus as their MUMS-MUHS shuttle and get on the Cornwall bus at the High school to ride home.
Shoreham students use the Weybridge bus as their MUMS-MUHS shuttle and get on the Shoreham bus at the High school to ride home.
