Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
October 18, 2026
Dear BES Families,
This newsletter is filled with activities and events coming up. Make sure to look through it all so you don't miss anything!
BES offers assignment help and tutoring and they start this week! There are several options. One is called Power Hour and it is after school 4 days a week. Transportation is not provided and students need to be picked up by 4pm. We also have Wildcat mornings from 7-8am. You must drop your child off and let me know so I can watch for them. I would like an email the night before so that if I am not there for any reason, I can coordinate with you. The last option is called a Wildcat Hour and is more of a disciplinary action, but it is not noted in your child's discipline record. If a student repeatedly is not getting their daily work completed, the teacher will refer the student to me for a Wildcat Hour. I will then coordinate a day (or days) they can stay after school to complete the given work. We are committed to partnering with you to help your child be successful!
Have a great week,
Cindy Apple, Principal

Music Notes from Mrs. Montgomery
Dear Families,
November is quickly approaching, which means we are close to our Veterans Day concert next month! The concert will take place on November 11 at 1pm in the LHS gym.
As we continue to prepare for the Veterans Day concert, please have your child practice at home using the link below:
I appreciate your help in encouraging your child to practice at home. Thank you for supporting our students as they prepare to honor our veterans!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Montgomery

Share Your Child's Passion with Us!
Our students do some really cool things outside of school & we want to highlight and celebrate those passions, talents and strengths as we talk about the mindset 'Passion First' this month. Please send a photo of your child doing something they love! Photos will be displayed on the commons bulletin board through the month of October. Photos can be emailed to your teacher or to mcintires@usd416.org. Thank you!!
Hello, USD 416 Family and Friends!
Even though winter and the holidays may feel like they’re still a little ways away, they’ll be here before we know it! Our district social workers/counselors created a Winter & Holiday Resource Newsletter with information about local resources and ways to sign up for assistance with winter coats, Thanksgiving meal baskets and Christmas gifts.
We hope this resource helps families plan ahead and know where to turn if a little extra support would be helpful this season. Please don't hesitate to contact your child's building social worker/counselor if there is anything they can do to help!
Best Regards,
USD 416 Social Workers/Counselors
