Judy Center Early Learning Hub
at Grasonville Elementary School
Who Are We...
We are proud to share that Queen Anne’s County was one of the first sites selected to host a Judy Center in the state of Maryland. The Judith P. Hoyer Center Early Learning Hubs, also known as “Judy Centers,” are vital resources that improve the quality of life for families across the state. These centers serve children from birth through kindergarten, ensuring school readiness by providing direct services and connecting families with local providers to meet a wide range of needs. Located in Title I schools across every Maryland county, Judy Centers are a cornerstone of early childhood development and family support.
Three Cheers for the Red, White, & Blue
Dear Families,
I hope this summer finds you feeling rested, relaxed, and soaking up all the wonderful things this season brings. As we enjoy the slower pace of the warmer days and reflect on the 2025 school year now behind us, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your support and partnership.
It’s been a wonderful year filled with academic growth and joyful play. At the Judy Center at Grasonville Elementary School, our ongoing goal is to create a space where every child and family feels a true sense of belonging. Whether quiet or bold, a new learner or a curious scientist, an artist, a dancer, or a child arriving from another city or country—all are welcome here, and all have a place.
While summer is a time to relax and recharge, we’re also spending these months preparing for another incredible year ahead. We encourage you to enjoy this time with your loved ones, and gently support your child’s learning with simple routines that honor reading and math. A half-hour of reading before the beach, or ten minutes counting (or reviewing multiplication facts for older kiddos), before dinner, can make all the difference in easing the transition back to school in the fall.
Thank you again for being such an important part of our community. We are grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming events.
Wishing you a safe, fun, and refreshing summer!
Happy 4th of July
We shall go wild
with fireworks...
and they will plunge
into the sky and
shatter the darkness."

We’ll also be revisiting some of our favorite moments from our recent field trip to the Adventure Aquarium, reviewing the exhibits that sparked the most curiosity and joy.
