Basic Set Design and Basic Set Construction with Ms. Jessen and guest Mr. Andy Fistner (stage crew advisor)

We designed the border for the proscenium for the Fall Play Peter and the Starcatcher, using “found objects”, used fasteners to create posts on the set for the platforms, built a Hollywood flat, and a stair unit (seen in photos).

On Wednesday, October 7th, members of the Cedar Grove All-School Council attended the Student Government Summit hosted by James Caldwell High School! Our student leaders joined representatives from 12 other districts to collaborate, share ideas, and bring innovative leadership practices back to our school community.

On Friday 10/2, Mrs. Parks' class visited Fairfield Farms for a fall outing! They lucked out with beautiful sunny weather and were able to join up with our friends from West Essex.

The students had a blast exploring the corn maze, going on a hayride, climbing Big Bale Mountain, visiting the animal exhibit, and picking pumpkins. It was a wonderful day for the group!

Our football team recently participated in the "My Jersey, Your Impact" initiative! Senior players presented their game jerseys to the teachers, staff members, and mentors who have made a lasting difference in their lives. Thank you to our incredible educators for inspiring, supporting, and guiding our student-athletes both on and off the field! 🏈❤️

After an incredible 52 years with Pomptonian—including 50 dedicated years serving the students and staff at Cedar Grove High School—we bid a very happy retirement to Maria Zaffina, fondly known to us all as "Mama Maria"! From her fresh veggies and delicious pasta to her fan-favorite paninis, Mama Maria’s warmth and care nourished generations of our school family. Thank you for half a century of love and devotion, Mama Maria—we wish you a wonderful and well-deserved retirement!
