Grandparents Day Clarification
...coming soon!!!
We are aware that in the past, Book Fair Week and Grandparents Day were partnered together. Last year, we attempted to continue that tradition, but with the size of our building growing, the feedback we received led us to reflect and realize we could make the event even better.
As you can see, this week we have Book Fair, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Veterans Day — all while coming right out of a full moon and Halloween week! It was our decision to take a breather and intentionally plan another time for Grandparents Day. The new date for this event is Friday, March 13th, 2026. We cannot wait to host a Grandparents Day for all our families to enjoy, see, and feel the sense of community that we carry in these hallways.
For now, please save the date and timeframes, and we will update you soon with all the details and information you may need to plan and communicate with grandparents who live locally or may be traveling in for this cherished day!

THIS THURSDAY, Nov. 13th, 2025 - 10% comes back to Zitzman PTO
Zitzman PTO: VIP & Front Row Winners Explained!
Each year, Zitzman PTO offers exclusive perks through our trivia night/auction fundraiser. Anyone is able to bid on items even if you don't attend trivia night in person.
Here is what each one includes:
VIP Parking (Fast Pass Winners)
These spots are reserved all school year for the families who won them at Trivia Night.
VIP winners may use their spot during daily dismissal (3:00–4:00 p.m.) and for all Zitzman events and PTO events — assemblies, musicals, programs, and more.
Each spot is marked with a VIP sign. For the 25-26 school year these are dedicated to The Farrar Family, The Heider Family, and The Goss Family.
***These spaces are not open to general parking, even during events.***
Front Row Seating Winners
Front Row seating winners receive reserved front-row seats for their child’s class program, concert, or event.
This prize also includes a preferred parking spot for that specific event that will be marked differently.
Unlike VIP parking, Front Row parking is only valid during that particular event.
The 25-26 School year winners for these events are:
- 1st Grade Musical Performance: will be determined after our 2026 Trivia Night
- 2nd Grade Musical Performance: won't be an option this year due to performance date.
- 3rd Grade Musical Performance: Feldman Family
- 4th Grade Musical Performance: Sudduth Family
- Kindergarten Graduation; 1st Row [Left], 1st Row [Center], 1st Row [Right]: will be determined after our 2026 Trivia Night
Save the date for our Trivia Night, March 28th - That will be your chance to win one of the above spots for the 26-27 school year!!! You don't have to be present at trivia night - these are also available to bid actively online during the event!

From me to you...
Dear Zitzman Families,
After celebrating our students during this week’s Trimester Awards, I had one of those “ah-ha” moments that reminded me how our school’s core values — Respectful, Responsible, Communication, and Collaboration — aren’t just lessons for kids. They’re lifelong skills we all continue to practice and grow in.
As adults, we model these values daily — in how we speak to others, how we listen, how we handle challenges, and how we work together toward shared goals. Our kids are always watching and learning from those examples.
At Zitzman, we’re not just helping students shine within; we’re learning right alongside them. Thank you for being part of a community that values growth, grace, and connection — for your children and for one another.
Let’s keep cheering each other on as we grow together in communication, respect, responsibility, and collaboration — the heart of what makes our Zitzman family so strong.
Leading & learning,
Dr. Sladek
