Keeping the Crew up to Date! Volume 3 Issue 15 - 3/01/25
Clipper Nation,
This week marks the midpoint of the third term, and progress reports will be available on Thursday. The third term can be challenging for both grades and attendance, so it's important to encourage your student to attend school every day as a first step towards improving their grades.
If your student is facing academic difficulties, please encourage them to participate in our after-school program, Step Up. At Step Up, we offer snacks, tutoring, and transportation home. For more details about the daily activities, please refer to the information below.
As always, we have a lot going on, so be sure to review all the information below so that you and your student don't miss out.
Have a wonderful evening, and I look forward to having another great week on the Clipper Ship.

Wednesday, March 12 – On Wednesday, March 12th, we will be administering the SAT to all 11th graders and any 10th grade students who signed up and paid to take the SAT. All other 9th, 10th and 12th grade students remain home that day and will complete asynchronous work at home through their Google Classrooms. This asynchronous work will be utilized for attendance purposes for any student not taking the SAT. Students taking the SAT test that day will be exempt from asynchronous assignments. If your student has difficulty accessing the internet, please have them request a paper copy of the assignment from their teacher. The school day will begin at the regular time of 7:45 for test takers and bus transportation will run on its normal schedule in the morning for these students. Please make sure all testers bring your school issued laptop, fully charged, and charger. If you have a personal graphing calculator, bring that as well, otherwise an electronic calculator will be available in the testing platform. Students may also bring a snack and drink to have during the break. Car riders and walkers will be allowed to dismiss once all testing is complete, and bus riders will be dismissed around 12:00. Lunch will be available to any student in attendance. For any questions, please reach out to Christine Cook, our school testing coordinator, at ccook@mywcps.org
