Reminders from Nurse Nitting!
Measles Preparedness and Guidance
With two cases of measles reported in Morris County, we are sharing important information to help keep our school community healthy and informed. Please review the attached measles preparedness guidelines for information regarding symptoms, vaccination, and recommended precautions. If your child develops symptoms consistent with measles or may have been exposed, please contact your healthcare provider before visiting the office and notify the school nurse. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
Veterans Day Slideshow Submissions
I will be sending out a separate email early next week regarding our Veterans Day Assembly. Please be on the lookout for that!
Veterans Day Guests
This year we will invite students to welcome a veteran in their immediate family to the first Veterans Day Assembly. The assembly is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11th at 2:15pm. Please fill out this form if you would like to RSVP. Thank you!
Information about TREP$
TREP$, short for enTREPreneuS, starts at the elementary schools the last week of October, so don't wait, register now! Spots are limited!
"TREP$ teaches kids what they need to know to launch their own businesses, and then hosts a TREP$ Marketplace, where the kids actually sell their products cash and carry to their friends, family, and community. Through this program, tens of thousands of young people have had their first taste of small business management and have become empowered with entrepreneurial mindsets.
Students love TREP$ because, in this program, they are given the opportunity to be independent and actually start a business! Parents love TREP$ because this program encourages professional behavior and reinforces the same positive characteristics we all work to instill in our children. TREP$ is a real situation that rewards focus, determination, teamwork, creativity, communication skills, and good old-fashioned hard work.
Check out these other resources to help understand what TREP$ is!
