In honor of Dolly Parton's life and legacy, I wanted to take a minute to share her contribution to childhood literacy. She has been quoted as saying, “My Daddy told me the Imagination Library is probably the most important thing I had ever done,” and, “If I’m remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will not be for looks but for books.”

If you have a child between the ages of 0 and 5, please consider registering him/her for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Your child receives a new book every month for five years. I did this for my son when he was a baby, and it helped us build a wonderful library of books that we could read together.

The Sonora Band is participating in the 47th annual Free Car Wash fundraiser hosted by Club Car Wash - starting now thru September 12th! All Donations raised will go towards helping kids get instruments, supplies, and all necessary equipment. Please consider donating and thank you for supporting the Band Program!

Dear Parent or Guardian,

This is a reminder that the deadline for students to receive required immunizations is Thursday, October 1, 2026. To support you in meeting this requirement, Springdale Public School will be hosting immunization clinics at Middle Schools and High Schools on Friday, September 18. If you would like your student to participate in this immunization clinic, please complete the below steps by Tuesday, September 8.

1. Click the "Student Immunization Consent Form"
2. Click the "Start Filling" button at the bottom of the page
3. You may select English or Spanish at the top right of the page
4. Please make sure that you select the correct school that your child attends

Arkansas state law mandates that all students attending public schools be immunized against specific diseases unless an official exemption form has been approved. Immunization exemptions must be renewed each school year. For assistance with exemptions, please contact the Arkansas Department of Health at 479-936-8900 or visit their website.

To ensure your child continues attending school without interruption, please make sure your child's school nurse has proof of completed immunizations or confirmation of a scheduled appointment by the October 1 deadline.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this important health requirement.
