Elementary Alternative Schedule Dates
To make sure all students get equal learning time throughout the year, there are times we adjust the schedule when there's a day off (like a Monday holiday). Instead of skipping that day, we ‘move’ the missed day to another day that week. This way, classes like PE, STEM, Art, and Music stay balanced for everyone!
How It Works
If there’s no school on a Monday, we might follow a Monday schedule on Tuesday or Thursday instead.
This helps all students get a fair number of learning days.
Schedule Change Dates
No school on Monday, Sept 7 → We run a Monday schedule on Thursday, Sept 10
No school on Monday, Jan 18 → We run a Monday schedule on Wednesday, Jan 20
No school on Tuesday, Jan 19 → We run a Tuesday schedule on Thursday, Jan 21
Why Adjust the Schedule?
Some days (like Mondays) are missed more often due to holidays. See the photo below to see how the schedule gets more balanced.
This plan helps keep learning fair and consistent for all students. Thank you for your support!

Birthday Lunches
Parent(s)/guardian(s) are welcome to join their child for lunch on their birthday (or an alternate day for summer birthdays).
- Check-in Required: All visitors must check in at the main office to receive a visitor tag before entering the lunchroom.
- Pre-Registration/RSVP Google Form: Please fill out the RSVP Google Form below at least 24 hours in advance so the office and lunchroom staff can plan for extra seating. We are limiting attendance to 2 adult guests per student. Click here to complete the birthday lunch RSVP Google Form.
- Guidelines and Rules: Food may only be shared with your own student. For student privacy, no photos may be taken during lunch. When lunch is over, you must return to the office to sign out.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures (Action Item)
Please take a moment to review our arrival and dismissal procedures. Dismissal procedures for car riders will remain the same as last year. This includes the "double stacking" of cars in the parking lot area, which you will see in the visuals. As a reminder, there are also different procedures for Wednesdays due to early releases at the middle and high schools.
We continue to work to alleviate some of the traffic on the roads around Ferson, which is why there is the small tweak to our dismissal plan. You can help by not arriving incredibly early for dismissal, which necessitates cars waiting on the road.
If you are still in need of a visor tag to use during car pick-up, please stop by the office to pick one up. Please print your student(s) first and last name on the tag (see example above).
If you haven't already, Please fill out this short survey to let us know how your child will get home from school each day. Please complete the form for each of your children who attend Ferson Creek. Thank you!

Family Resources
In D303, we value the opportunity to provide a community of care and support for our families, especially those facing financial hardship.
If your family is currently experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships offer several supports, including school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and/or holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete the Family Resource Form by September 11, 2026.
