Students New to OHS
OHS Wildcat Weekly

Welcome to OHS Students!
The staff and administration appreciate the opportunity to share your education experience with you. Our school is an International Baccalaureate World School in the Middle Years Programme (grades 9-10) & Diploma Programme (offered grades 11-12). In addition, we offer the Oxford School Early College program (OSEC) and a diverse array of Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs.
At Oxford High School we are committed to creating lifelong inquirers who are caring, contributing members of a global society. Believing that every student is unique, we offer diverse opportunities in academics, athletics, and the arts. Oxford High School has a true passion for education and set high expectations for both our staff and our students. Together we can help students achieve their maximum potential.
Every week we will EMAIL a newsletter with information about what is happening at OHS.

Where Do I Find Out About...?
Ahhh! My Schedule is Wrong!
Schedule Changes & Errors
Our counselors are diligently working on schedules right up to registration. Students must attend original classes until informed that a change has been made.
Reasons to request a schedule change:
- An incomplete schedule (e.g. no class listed for 2nd hour)
- Two classes in the same hour
- Enrolled in a class already completed
- Enrolled in a class in which the prerequisites have not been met (I'm in Spanish IV. I haven't taken Spanish III)
- Medical documentation that prevents from taking an assigned course (e.g. I broke my leg and have doctor's note. I can't take gym)
- Would like to take a more challenging class than what scheduled for (e.g. Essentials of Chemistry would be replaced with Chemistry)
- Have not taken a class needed for graduation and this is the last chance to take it.
OHS Students are able to request a schedule error change by completing the form (links below based on last name/counselor). All schedule errors must be communicated by the end of the 3rd day the class meets.

Medical Information
Medications and Medical Action Plans
EACH year a Medical Action Plan (MAP) or medication form must be completed for any student who has a medical condition that would warrant one? Below are the links that they can access the forms for a MAP, prescription and over the counter medications.
We are asking that parents/guardians drop off any necessary medical forms and medication at the main office the week of August 11th-15th between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Once school begins on August 21st, forms may be dropped off during our our office hours of 7:00am – 3:00pm.
Medications
Medication should be placed in a zip lock bag, clearly labeled with the student’s name and grade. Please have the appropriate form accompany the medication. Links to each form can be found below.
Medication Forms
What is a Medical Action Plan (MAP)?
A Medical Action Plan is used for situations where a student has a life-threatening illness or condition, when medication needs to be taken on schedule, and/or they need to be monitored for symptoms.
