Great job this year, everyone!

25-26 CloseoutGreat job this year, everyone!

Thank you students, parents, and volunteers for a great 25-26 season. Everyone did an amazing job at all performances. Please carefully read these last few action items for the year:

  • Any remaining balances must be paid by Monday, 5/18/26. If you are not up to date on band dues or anything else, please take care of that ASAP. Reach out to me with any questions. Students that are not paid in full for this year will not be able to participate in the extracurricular side of band (trips, competitive marching band, etc.) in the coming school year.
  • Concert wear must be dry cleaned and returned by the end of the school year. If you are not able to get it dry cleaned by this coming Wednesday, please make a plan to bring it by during color guard camp (June 1-5) or email me with a plan to bring it at another time (to the front office during their summer hours or something else).
  • Instruments must go home by tomorrow. If a student needs to borrow a school instrument over the summer, they need to make sure I know they have it by filling out an instrument loan form.
  • Mark down our summer dates on your calendar for next season.
    • June 1-5 - Color Guard June Camp
    • June 9 - Band summer. Limited access to facilities and delayed email contact with Mr. Carpenter
    • July 7 - End band summer, facilities open and Mr. Carpenter full time again.
    • July 13-18 - Percussion and Guard Camp (all day)
    • July 19 - Ice Cream Social and Member Meeting (3pm)
    • July 20-25 - Full Band Camp (all day)
    • July 28 - Summer rehearsal 1 (3pm-6pm)
    • July 30 - Summer rehearsal 2 (3pm-6pm)
  • Make plans to be at mandatory uniform fittings the first Saturday of the school year. We will have uniform fittings in the late morning/early afternoon on August 8th. This is mandatory unless you have a major conflict. Please communicate those conflicts to me ASAP (before this school year is over).
  • Check the band calendar for next season's dates. These dates are mostly finalized and include rain dates for some outdoor events. We have to wait on outside factors for our Holiday and Spring Concerts' dates. We should have our holiday concert scheduled before the first day of the school year, and we should know our Spring concert by the midpoint of the first semester. http://thehoustonband.com/calendar
  • If you are a graduating senior that wants to be removed from this mailing list, unsubscribe with the button at the bottom. You are more than welcome to keep getting regular updates about our program, performances, etc. If you don't wish to get those, just unsubscribe. You don't have to reach out to me to manually do that, unless the unsubscribe button does not work.

If you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great summer! If you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great summer!
